Some complexes of the type [ReX3L3] and [ReX3(O)(PPh3)L]{X = Cl or Br: L = P(OMe)3. P[(OCH2)3CMe], or P[(OCH2)3CEt]} have been prepared bytreating [ReX3(O)(PPh3)2] with the corresponding phosphite in a suitable solvent. The preparations and reactions of these complexes and also their i.r. and lH n.m.r. spectra are reported.
