Photoelectron spectra and transannular interactions in 1-silacyclopent-3-enes

Abstract

The 1-silacyclopent-3-enes C4H6(SiX2)(X = H, F, or Cl) have been studied by ultraviolet photoelectron spactros-copy. No evidence for transannular interactions has been found despite comparison of the spectra with those of cylopentene and its dichloro-derivative.
