Oplophorus luciferin, bioluminescent substance of the decapod shrimps, Oplophorus spinosus and Heterocarpus laevigatus

Abstract

Oplophorus luciferin is shown to be 8-benzyl-2-(p-hydroxybenzyl)-6-(p-hydroxyphenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]-pyrazin-3(7H)-one.
