Novel complexes of fluorinated β-diketone hydrate with triarylantimony(V), Ar3Sb[CF3C(O)2CH2COR](Ar = Ph or p-ClC6H4, and R![[double bond, length half m-dash]](https://www.rsc.org/images/entities/char_e006.gif)
Me or Ph), have been synthesized, in which the ligand acts as a terdentate ligand co-ordinated to the central antimony atom by a pair of gem-diol oxygen atoms as well as the carbonyl oxygen.
