Thin-layer chromatographic analysis of some triphenodioxazines (1,4-benzoxazino[2,3-b]-phenoxazines)

Abstract

Thin-layer chromatographic procedures involving the use of silica-gel plates have been developed for the separation and identification of triphenodioxazines in sub-microgram amounts using non-aqueous developing solvent systems. The compounds are detected by spraying the plates with concentrated sulphuric acid.
