In vitro studies on the dissolution rate of industrial retarded urea feedingstuffs by use of a selective electrode. Application of the potentiometric urea enzyme electrode in measurements of dissolution rate

Abstract

An enzyme electrode based on the neutral carrier type ammonium ion selective electrode was prepared in order to study the rate of dissolution of urea. A procedure was developed that was found to be applicable for monitoring the urea dissolution process in different industrial feedingstuff additives containing urea.
