Rate theory of irreversible linear random polymrisation. Part 1.—Basic theory

Abstract

This paper presents an extension of the statistical approach to linear polycondensations in the absence of back reaction which enables not only the distribution of molecular species but also their interconversion to be described in detail. A—A self-polymerisations, and A—A + B—B polymerisations are considered.
