Pulsed stirred-flow technique for gas kinetics

Abstract

A novel pulsed method of operating a stirred-flow reactor is described and the appropriate kinetic equations are derived. The technique enables gas kinetic data for pyrolysis reactions to be obtained rapidly and economically; it has been tested by measuring the rate of thermal isomerisation of cyclopropane.
