Structural studies in the ruthenium–dithiocarbamate system. Part IV. Crystal structure of a trinuclear ruthenium(II) carbonyl dithiocarbamate chloride

Abstract

The crystal structure of the title complex [Ru3(CS2·NEt2)4(CO)3Cl2] has been determined by the heavy-atom method from X-ray diffractometer data and refined to R 0.068 for 1 407 reflections. Crystals are triclinic, space group P[1 with combining macron], a= 13.964(5), b= 13.919(9), c= 11.073(5)Å, α= 102.09(4), β= 109.91(3), γ= 95.51(4)°, Z= 2. The complex is trinuclear with ruthenium(II) atoms linked by bridging sulphur and bi- and ter-dentate chlorine atoms.
