Aliphatic Friedel–Crafts acylation of vinyl silanes

Abstract

Some vinyltrimethylsilanes give high yields of substitution products in aliphatic Friedel–Crafts acylation and the reaction is site-selective, acylation taking place at the carbon atom carrying the trimethylsilyl group.
