When (dimethylaminomethyl)phenylsilanes (1a–c) are treated with benzyne the corresponding benzyl (o-dimethylaminophenyl)diorganosilanes (2a–c) and 1-(methylphenylamino)ethylphenylsilanes (3a–c) are produced.
