Electrochemical generation and reactivity of organo-cobalt(IV) and -rhodium(IV) chelates

Abstract

Electro-oxidation of organo-cobalt(III) and -rhodium(III) chelates yields fairly stable species retaining a σ-bonded organic ligand, which behaves as a carbonium ion being readily transferred to nucleophiles.
