Guanidinium ion as a guest during and after formation of 27-crown-9 polyether hosts

Abstract

Macrocyclic ethers containing nine oxygen atoms complex guanidinium tetraphenylborate or hexafluorophosphate, and formation of the cycles is aided by guanidinium as compared to tetramethylguanidinium ion.
