Chiral recognition in amino-ester complexation by a cyclic polyether host compound

Abstract

A cyclic ether containing two 2,2′-substituted-1,1′-binaphthyl units as chiral barriers is described which complexes somewhat selectively the enantiomers of the hexafluorophosphate salt of racemic methyl phenylglycinate.
