Evidence for reductive radiolytic dephosphorylation in the nucleotide analogue 8,5′-cycloadenosine 5′-monophosphate

Abstract

Evidence is presented that hydrated electrons efficiently induce phosphate release from the nucleotide analogue 8,5′-cycloadenosine 5′-monophosphate; hydro-gen atoms are ineffective in this process.
