Investigation of the role of chrysanthemyl, lavandulyl, and artimisyl alcohols in the biosynthesis of chrysanthemic acid
Abstract
Feeding and trapping experiments in chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium have established that chrys-anthemyl alcohol (1) is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of chrysanthemic acid (CA)(3), whereas lavandulol (6) and artimisyl alcohol (7) were not incorporated.
