A semi-automated procedure for the determination of iodine in plant tissue and soil extracts
Abstract
A semi-automated method is described for the determination of total iodine in plant tissue and soil extracts. The automated, colorimetric determination is based on the catalytic action of iodine on the oxidation of arsenic(III) by cerium(IV). The reproducibility and accuracy of the proposed procedures are reported for the materials studied.
