Electronic absorption, luminescence, infra-red and Raman spectra of the Cr(NCS) 3–6 ion

Abstract

The 4A2E, 2T1 absorption and emission spectra of a series of compounds containing the Cr(NCS)3–6 ion have been measured at 80 K. Comparison of the observed vibronic structure with the vibrational spectra have enabled most of the vibrational modes to be located and the electronic spectra to be assigned.
