Solid-state studies. Part VI. A single-crystal Raman study of the vibrations of the tricarbonylchromium unit in benzenetricarbonylchromium and tricarbonyl(l,3-dimethylbenzene)chromium

Abstract

The single-crystal Raman spectra of the isomorphous, monoclinic, title compounds are reported. In the 2000 cm–1 region a factor group analysis is appropriate. The 500 cm–1 region is more complex but the data obtained enable a distinction between alternative assignments to be made.
