Divinyltin bistrifluoroacetate and its reactions with sodium salts of metal-carbonyl anions

Abstract

The compound [(CH2[double bond, length half m-dash]CH)2Sn(O2CCF3)2], (I), has been prepared and characterised by elemental analysis, and 1H, 19F, i.r., and mass spectra. Salt-elimination reactions of compound (I) with Na[Mn(CO)5], Na2[Fe(CO)4], and Na[Co(CO)4] afford [(CH2[double bond, length half m-dash]CH)2Sn(O2CCF3)2{Mn(CO)5}], (II), [(CH2[double bond, length half m-dash]CH)2Sn{Mn(CO)5}2], (III), [{(CH2[double bond, length half m-dash]CH)2Sn[Fe(CO)4]}2], (IV), and [(CH2[double bond, length half m-dash]CH)2Sn{Co(CO)4}2], (V).
