Abstract

Acidic hydrolysis of flambamycin yields curacin (1), L-lyxose (3), 2,6-di-O-methyl-D-mannose (5), 4-O-methyl-D-fucose (7), D-evalose (9), 3,5-dihydroxy-γ-caprolactone (20), flambabiose (21), flambatriose (23), flambatetrose (27), and flambatetrose isobutyrate (32).
