Acidity-dependent merged dissociative (A-1) and associative (A-2) mechanisms for methanolysis of methylphenylphosphinanilide

Abstract

A stereochemical study of the acid-catalysed methanolysis of (–)-(S)-methylphenylphosphinanilide shows that the reaction proceeds by the acidity-dependent merged A-1 and A-2 mechanism.
