Enantioselective synthesis of 2-phenylcyclopropanecarboxylates through chiral cobalt chelate complex-catalysed carbenoid reactions

Abstract

Enantioselective cyclopropanation (70% enantiomeric excess) through carbenoid reaction of diazoalkanes has been achieved using bis-[(+)-camphorquinonedioximato]cobalt(II) as catalyst.
