Signs and magnitudes of 1JPC, 2JPC, and 3JPH in some acetylenic PIII and PIV organophosphorus compounds

Abstract

Coupling constants display a reversal of sign in acetylenic phosphines, 1JPC < 0, 2JPC > 0, 3JPH < 0; they are positive in acetylenic phosphine oxides and their values suggest dominance by the Fermi contact interaction.
