Electrochemistry of four-co-ordinate quadrivalent organosulphur(IV) compounds

Abstract

The irreversible two-electron electrochemical reductions of several quadrivalent sulphur(IV) dilactones to dianions of 2,2′-thiodibenzoic acid derivatives and the anodic oxidations of the latter species in acetonitrile are reported.
