A refractometric method for the approximate measurement of the alcoholic strength of wines at room temperature

Abstract

Tables are presented from which it is possible to read the approximate alcoholic strengths of wines, including fortified wines and sweetened wines, from values of their refractive indices and relative densities at any temperature within the normal ambient range.
