The conformational analysis of saturated heterocycles. Part LI. Spirodioxolans

Abstract

Cyclohexanespiro-4′-dioxolan exists in CFCl3 preferentially in the O-axial conformation. The slight preference for O-axial is decreased in the geminally substituted 2′,2′-dimethyl derivative and increased in the corresponding 1-t-butylpiperidine-4-spiro-4′-derivatives. These variations are discussed.
