Bis-(6,6-dimethylnorpinane-2,2-diyl) diperoxide

Abstract

The substance C9H14O2 obtainable from ozonolysis of pin-2(10)-ene and previously formulated as 7,7-dimethyl-3-oxabicyclo[4,1,1]octan-2-one (1) is shown to be a diastereoisomer (6) of bis(6,6-dimethylnorpinane-2,2-diyl) diperoxide.
