Radiolysis of ethylene + ethanol systems. Part 2.—Telomerization reactions at high pressures

Abstract

The radiolysis products of the ethylene + ethanol system, at high pressures, have been determined. The effect of ethylene pressure and dose rate were examined. The results obtained in Part 1 have been analyzed using a general kinetic expression. Possible reasons for the formation of polymer at low dose rates and high ethylene pressures, are discussed.
