Sorption–diffusion in heterogeneous systems. Part 6.—General behaviour of diffusion-controlled competitive sorption processes

Abstract

Uptake kinetics of diffusion-controlled competitive sorptive processes are presented for the case of constant external boundary concentrations. The general sorption behaviour of a 2-component system is discussed for a wide range of adsorption constants and for different ratios of external boundary concentrations and diffusivities.
