Thermochemistry of fluorine compounds. Part III. Iodine oxide trifluoride and iodyl fluoride

Abstract

From measurements of the heats of aqueous alkaline hydrolysis at 25 °C the following standard enthalpies of formation are derived: ΔHf°[IOF3,cryst.]298=–554·76 ± 2·51 kJ mol–1(– 132·59 ± 0·6 kcal mol–1) and ΔHf°[IO2F, cryst.]298=–246·4 ± 1·2 kj mol–1(– 58·89 ± 0·29 kcal mol–1).
