Slow dissociation of the chromium(II) acetate dimer

Abstract

Oxidation and substitution reactions of tetra-µ-acetato-dichromium(II) in aqueous medium are preceded by a unimolecular dissociation, the rate of which is consistent with a simple ligand-field model.
