Reaction of hexafluorobut-2-yne with nickelocene and the crystal structure of [C5H5NiCF3CCCF3]4

Abstract

Reaction of CF3CCCF3 with (π-C5H5)2Ni gives C6(CF3)6, C5H5Ni[C5H5(CF3CCCF3)2], [C5H5NiCF3CCCF3]4, and C5H5)2Ni3(CF3CCCF3)3 in addition to known products; the molecular structure of [C5H5NiCF3CCCF3]4 has been determined by X-ray analysis.
