The reaction between molecular oxygen and NN′-trimethylenebis(salicylaldiminato)manganese(II), [Mn(salpn)], produces di-µ-hydroxo-bis-(NN-′trimethylenebis(salicylaldiminato)manganese(III)-tetrapyridine as an oxidation product.
