New compounds of rhenium: preparation and crystal structures of Re(CO)5F·ReF5 and [Re(CO)6]+[Re2F11]

Abstract

Re(CO)5F·ReF5 and [Re(CO)6]+[Re2F11] have been obtained from the reaction of ReF6 with Re2(CO)10 in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride; the structures of the compounds have been determined by X-ray diffraction.
