Reactions of silicon–carbon double-bonded intermediates with aldehydes and ketones

Abstract

R2Si[double bond, length as m-dash]CH2 intermediates are shown to react with aldehydes and ketones by two different reaction pathways to give either a Wittig-type product or a silyl enol ether.
