[4-14C]Ergosterol has been prepared from ergosta-4,22-dien-3-one via 4-oxaergosta-5,22-dien-3-one; the intermediate [4-14C]ergosta-4,22-dien-3-one has been converted into [4-14C]ergocalciferol.
