Calonectrin and 15-deacetylcalonectrin, new trichothecanes from Calo-nectria nivalis

Abstract

Two new metabolites, calonectrin and 15-deacetylcalonectrin, isolated from culture filtrates of Calonectria nivalis, have been shown to be 3α,15-diacetoxy-12,13-epoxytrichothec-9-ene (1) and 3α-acetoxy-12,13-epoxytri-chothec-9-en-15-ol (2), respectively. The known sesquiterpene culmorin (13) has also been isolated.
