Vibrational spectra and assignment of iodoacetylene

Abstract

Full infra-red and Raman spectra were obtained for monoiodoacetylene and all the fundamental frequencies assigned, to species Σ+ at 3330, 2051 and 490 cm–1 and species Π at 635 and 267 cm–1. These are compared with related molecules and a simple harmonic force-field is deduced.
