Solvent cage model for the effect of magnetically anisotropic molecules on the nuclear screening of simple solutes

Abstract

A simple cage model for neighbour anisotropy nuclear screening is proposed. Calculations of the magnetic anisotropy screening constants of non-polar solutes in benzene and in carbon disulphide provide good agreement with experimentally determined values.
