Transition-metal complexes of NNNNNN‴-hexamethyl-3,6-diazaoctane-1,8-diamine. Part II. Zinc(II), cadmium(II), and mercury(II) halides

Abstract

A series of compounds of the types M(trien)X2 and [M2′(trien)X4](where trien =NNNNNN‴-hexamethyl-3,6-diazaoctane-1,8-diamine; M′= ZnII; X = Cl, Br, I; M = ZnII; X = I; M = CdII; X = Cl, Br, I; M = HgII; X = Cl, Br; M′= HgII; X = I) have been prepared and studied by means of i.r. and far-i.r. spectroscopy, conductivity and molecular weight measurements. Structures for these compounds are suggested.
