Hydrido-complexes of ruthenium and iron containing diphenylphosphine ligands

Abstract

The syntheses of cis-[RuH2(HPPh2)4] and of covalent and ionic monohydrides of ruthenium containing four of five diphenylphosphine ligands, and of analogous iron compounds, are described. Spectroscopic evidence for their configurations, and for intramolecular rearrangements in cis-[FeH2(HPPh2)4], is presented.
