Tertiary phosphine and arsine complexes of tungsten(IV)

Abstract

Improved methods for the preparation of complexes [WCl4L2] and the preparation of new complexes [WOCl2L3](L = tertiary phosphine or tertiary arsine) are described. The structures are assigned on the basis of i.r. and 1H and 31P n.m.r. spectroscopy. The magnetic and n.m.r. properties are discussed.
