The equilibrium in solution among tetrachloroaluminate, tetrabromoaluminate, and the mixed bromochloroaluminate ions

Abstract

The equilibrium in acetonitrile solution among the five ions AlClnBr4-n(0 ⩽n⩽ 4) at 26 °C has been examined by 27AI n.m.r. spectroscopy, and the equilibrium constants for the system have been determined.
