Isolation of a transition-metal complex of hexaborane(10); µ-Fe(CO)4–B6H10

Abstract

The reaction of hexaborane(10) with ennea-carbonyldi-iron gives the novel complex µ-Fe(CO)4–B6H10, in which the iron centre is shown to be co-ordinated to the unique basal boron–boron bond of B6H10.
