New thiophosphorimides

Abstract

The new thiophosphorimides P4(NMe)6Sn, with n= 1–3, have structures related to those of the series of oxides P4O7, P4O8, and P4O9; scrambling of the peripheral sulphur atoms gave equilibrated mixtures in which the inner P4(NMe)6 core is retained.
