Synthesis of 3-monosubstituted s-tetrazines and their reactions with monosubstituted acetylenes

Abstract

In the inverse Diels–Alder reactions of mono-substituted s-tetrazines, 3-p-tolyltetrazine and phenyl-acetylene gave 3,4-diphenylpyridazine, while the same tetrazine and methylacetylene gave the 3,5-disubstituted product.
