Synthesis and X-ray structure of carbon-bonded palladium(II) chelates of acetic anhydride and acetic acid

Abstract

Two types of palladium(II) complex, Pd(C4H4O3)(PPh3)2 and Pd(C2H2O2)(PPh3)(py), containing a carbon-bonded chelate ring of acetic anhydride and acetic acid, respectively, have been prepared by reactions of Pd(O2)(PPh3)2 with keten, and their molecular structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction.
