Evidence against the significance of C–S hyperconjugation in determining the conformation of allyl methyl sulphide
Abstract
Photoelectron spectroscopy indicates that C–S hyperconjugation with π ethylene systems (σ–π mixing) plays no special role, in contrast to C–Si hyperconjugation.
