The direct synthesis of a bimetallic carborane complex by polyhedral expansion of a monometallocarborane

Abstract

Addition of Na+C5H5 and CoCl2 to B8C2H10CoC5H5 previously reduced with Na+C10H8 forms a new bimetallic carborane complex through a new extension of the polyhedral expansion reaction.
